Connecting Communities. Accelerating Discovery.

For too long, patients and families affected by related complex chronic conditions linked by neuroinflammation, immune dysfunction, and overlapping biology have existed in separate diagnostic silos. While each community has made important advances, the complexity of brain-body illness demands a more connected approach.

The Brain Inflammation Collaborative brings together advocacy organizations, research groups, clinicians, and patient communities to create a shared ecosystem for discovery.

Together, we are building one of the largest cross-condition datasets focused on brain inflammation, immune dysfunction, and whole-person health.

This is more than a collection of organizations. It is a collaborative effort to transform invisible illness into actionable research, improved care, and better outcomes for patients and families.

Our Partners

Each organization contributes unique expertise, lived experience, and community insight that strengthens our collective understanding of neuroinflammatory illness.

Why Collaboration Matters

The Power of Collective Data

Most research studies focus on a single diagnosis. But patients often experience overlapping symptoms, shared biological pathways, and common barriers to care.

By partnering across conditions, we can identify patterns that might otherwise remain hidden.

Through the Collaborative Network, de-identified participant data contributes to a growing body of research spanning dozens of conditions and symptom presentations. This cross-condition approach helps researchers uncover meaningful insights that can accelerate understanding, improve patient care, and guide future studies.

When communities work together, every participant's experience becomes more valuable
